well my friend's mom has been bringing me home after our sport practices. I've noticed that she had a compaq(yea i know it sucks) computer in her car for almost three months. I assumed she was going to take it to best buy and waste tons of unnecessary money. I used to learn a lot about computers about two years back, I knew everything from reinstalling windows and taking care of viruses and spyware, so I used to help all of my friends out with their virus problems. But never had I ever done a reinstall of windows on anyones computers except mine. So since I've done this process three times twice on a pc and once on a mac, I really dont have much experience. But anyways my friends computer is a pentium 4 and 512 memory. Its made for window 2000 (because it says on the sticker:P) but when i turned it on to the advanced menu for safe mode it asked if i wanted to launch windows xp so i assumed they have already upgraded it. But whenever i turn the computer on it goes straight to the safe mode menu and asks me if i want to start windows normally and all that good stuff, but whenever i choose one it just restarts and goes right back to it! I've been thinking of reinstalling windows on their computer, however I'm pretty sure they have no idea what a driver is and probably dont have it for their computer anymore, but if anyone could tell me how to get drivers that I dont know of after a reinstall of windows please help!!!!!! Because I know i can always give it back to them but I dont feel like being a retard by giving it back to them after saying that i could fix it.

Hi. I'm having trouble accessing vpn using windows server 2000. I can ping the remote computers when connected to the vpn server through windows xp home, but i can't on windows server, even though i am able to connect to the vpn server.
So does windows server have some extra security issues i need to sort out? Or is it not possible to connect to a vpn server using a windows server?
I have installed the Cisco VPN client software on both windows server and windows xp, to access the remote computers.

I have a Canon HV30 camcorder and I when I import my footage onto the computer it always imports "HD File" and turns into a DVR-MS "Video File". Why is this? On top of that, when I went into movie maker to edit and tried to publish it (to everything), it doesn't work. It just stops at 5, 10, and 15%, says estimated time, 20 minutes, then it gets up to 2000 minutes. I cannot get the footage onto my flash drive because it's 5 GB and my flash drive only holds two. I have explained that I have been in and out of programs in college since 2003. I have listed that I was in a general studies transfer program at my Community College to a local University, but I only went to a University for a semester and than went back to the Community College. I listed my overall GPA of 3.48 at the community college and included my 3.0 GPA at the University. I have also included that I have gained knowledge in medical studies, and that I have knowledge in computers and Windows environments, with some knowledge of the Spanish language. Is this the kind of information I need to include in education history? What else do I need to include? Also, for the space they give you to type in employment history, what do I need to include in that? I have been employed in the same place since 2000, working with animals at a Veterinary office? I wrote all of what I did in paragraph form, since I didn't complete a resume? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

i got all the settings on low. and it is laggy to the point of unplayability.
and i cant undertandwhy it laggs . ive done virsus checks defrags and still lag. so does unreal tournemant 2004
